Rockingham
History
Rockingham porcelain is highly collectable as it was the only Yorkshire porcelain ever commercially produced. The factory owned by the Bramelds made fine porcelain at Swinton near Rotherham between 1826 and 1842. This was under the patronage of Earl Fitzwilliam. The Wentworth crest of the griffin surmounted the words “Rockingham works, Brameld”. By 1830 the quality of the porcelain and its excellence of decoration had received Royal recognition. The mark was altered from red to puce and firstly the word “Royal” was used and then “Manufacturer to the King”.

This is the area in which Bryan Bowden Antiques particularly specializes and as such we have a very large stock. We have helped to build major museum and private collections. Unfortunately we cannot show all of our stock but below is a selection. If you are looking for something specific please don't hesitate to enquire.
